Mr Brown is a food diner with a homey ambiance and very friends vibes, that lives up to their “Next Door Diner” name.
The diner was moving to the oldest city in the world; so this warrants a memorable campaign that follows his quirky and funny tone of voice to communicate the message.
The challenge was to come up, in collaboration with colleagues, with a concept in a very short period of time and with 0 budget. We managed to finish ideation, filming and editing in 4 days. The end result was 2 teaser videos, a reveal video, and posts, to be posted on Mr Brown’s social media platforms.
As a teaser, we showcase the footsteps of a young man arriving to Jbeil promising to steal everyone’s heart.
Following this, a young lady is seen wandering in the old souk clearly looking for someone and then she gets gently tapped on the shoulder and looks lovestruck. All of this, of course, is happening in the streets of Jbeil.
Finally, the revealer shows the young girl finding true love as she digs her teeth into Mr. Brown’s food. The same campaign can be echoed online and offline with still images. The main image being that of the girl sinking her teeth lovingly into a burger. In order to create a romantic/cheesy mood, the music used in the background is that of “Me and Mrs. Jones” hence the campaign’s headline “We got a thing going on!”. And all of this is concluded with the hashtag #MeAndMrBrown in Jbeil which is a hashtag we can leverage for all existing and new locations, it is meant to be used for activations and interactions with fans in the future.
